The Voice Of Thunder
Endorsements:
"Russell and The Voice of Thunder have been an absolute inspiration to our ministry and to our family. He and his family have been instrumental in propelling us forward. He is true to his message of servant hood and has a deliberate honesty. He and his music alike are an open book, and reflect Jesus' simple message of worship and serving others in His name. I look forward to continued projects together, both personally and ministerially. Although partners in ministry, above all, I call him friend."

“I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Russell over the past year or so, producing his newest recording “Thunder in the Desert.” I am impressed not only with his talent as a singer/songwriter/performer, but more importantly, with his dedication to the Cause of Christ. It’s my hope that you will join in his efforts in reaching out to the less fortunate through the Voices of Thunder website.”
Our Mission Statement:
To provide hope to the hopeless, shelter to the homeless and food to the hungry of America; through networks of home missionaries working together to build awareness and establish community groups who can construct, cook, sing, teach, love and direct those people who are in the greatest need right here in America.
"When he finally arrives, blazing in beauty and all his angels with him, the Son of Man will take his place on his glorious throne. Then all the nations will be arranged before him and he will sort the people out, much as a shepherd sorts out sheep and goats, putting sheep to his right and goats to his left.
"Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Enter, you who are blessed by my Father! Take what's coming to you in this kingdom. It's been ready for you since the world's foundation. And here's why:
I was hungry and you fed me,
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink,
I was homeless and you gave me a room,
I was shivering and you gave me clothes,
I was sick and you stopped to visit,
I was in prison and you came to me.'
"Then those 'sheep' are going to say, 'Master, what are you talking about? When did we ever see you hungry and feed you, thirsty and give you a drink? And when did we ever see you sick or in prison and come to you?' Then the King will say, 'I'm telling the solemn truth: Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me—you did it to me.'
Matthew 25:31-40 (The Message)
Our Purpose:
Our purpose is to simply follow the call of God for our lives. We are called to travel throughout America doing and bringing kindness to others and helping provide resources to ministries in need.
When God first commissioned us we had no idea the people , places, and things we would discover in a very short period of time. We have already begun networking with other ministries. Some provide meals to the homeless, others travel and do kind things for the less fortunate. We have discovered children who only eat 2 or 3 days a week, families who live under bridges and in abandoned cars, villages of shanty shacks with little or no resources; all this only blocks from multi million dollar homes. The more we discover, the greater our call becomes.
The second part of our purpose is to teach others to serve. We want to raise awareness to churches and civic organizations of the needs of the people in their communities. Then help them to get started serving or rallying volunteers for already existing ministries. One voice can only be heard by so many, but many voices can shake the world. Together we will shake the foundations of suffering!
